Thorbjoern Lausten, b. 1945.

First showing 1966. Has a background in the constructivist and concrete art and has used the constructivist language in paintings, paperworks, installations, light works,
light spaces and datavisualizations.

First light work in 1972, interactive work, and later quite a number of light works in which energy, information and aspects of time are an essential part of the works as
e.g. with preprogrammed  on and off periods, the Morse alphabet and on and off periods related to time and space measurements.

Has for some years made a number of projects visualizing scientific data which relate to our understanding of reality and to methods and systems which  constitute reality.
Has received the Eckersberg medal, a life long support from the Danish state, the Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Grant and the critics prize as a curator.
Solo exhibitions at Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum, Statens Museum for Kunst, CAVS/MIT, Fyns Kunstmuseum, Esbjerg Kunstmuseum, Museum am Astwall Dortmund
and ZKM Karlsruhe.
